Staffa… and other things…

I realise it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here — things have gotten quite busy.

In the meantime, here’s a picture of Staffa that I took on a trip to Scotland way back in 2006.  Staffa’s a neat place — it’s an island that is, I believe, completely made up of these hexagonal basalt pillars.  Two prominent features include Fingal’s Cave and a puffin colony!  Be sure to check out the travel pics blog I co-manage over on Tumblr — Global Scrapbook — for more pictures from countries around the world.

Now, if you visit this blog because you love my book reviews, I’m nearing the end of three books:

  • Moonlight, Tiger, and Smoke, by Connie Bailey
  • Best Gay Erotica 2013, edited by Richard Labonte
  • Star Trek: Typhon Pact: Raise the Dawn, by David R George III

…and reviews will be posted soon — probably on the weekend.  All three of these are very good reads so far.

If you visit this blog because you like gay erotic romance and gay erotica and you’re interested in me as a writer, well, there’s not too much happening on that front right now.  I’m waiting for edits from my editor, but my book will be out in July, so those edits should be coming soon.  I’m also putting together an erotica short story that I’ll be offering as a free read in August, and that’s coming along nicely.  I’ll post developments (edits, cover art, etc) when they come along.  I think I’m also guest posting on the Writers Vineyard this Monday, so I’ll post a link when that goes up.

And if you visit this blog because you think I’m interesting and/or nice, then, aww… thanks!  In my personal life, I’ve started a new masters course and I’m already behind (it’s the first week), and I’m putting together my thesis proposal, which I hope to start in September.

I hope you’re all doing well, and I’ll put up those book reviews as soon as I finish reading the books!
